The CNC Mill Operator, 2nd Shift role is onsite in Greenwood, IN, with pay of $24–$30 per hour. The operator supports Avalign Technologies’ manufacturing work by machining metallic and nonmetallic workpieces. The role sets up and operates CNC mills to produce parts that meet blueprint and quality specifications. It contributes to reliable production by monitoring machine operation, correcting issues within approved procedures, maintaining equipment, and following safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Read blueprints and technical data
• prepare tooling and verify fixtures
• mount and secure tooling and workpieces
• load or enter machine instructions
• set machine controls
• conduct prove-outs and manual programming only when approved by a supervisor
• monitor machine operation
• measure parts against specifications
• correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining
• clean and maintain machines
• follow safety procedures and use required PPE
• help train new employees as required.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience and/or training. Requires CNC setup and operation, blueprint reading, GD&T, G-code, M-code, and inspection skills; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
