With guidance from experienced machinists, the employee learns to operate CNC equipment, read prints, verify parts, and progress toward setting up and running custom jobs.

What you'll do

• Learn to safely operate CNC machining equipment under experienced machinists’ guidance
• run established jobs by loading, cycling, unloading, and checking parts
• learn to read prints and bills of materials
• use measuring tools to verify dimensions
• learn tool-wear offsets and when to stop and ask for help
• keep workstation, tooling, and materials organized
• build toward setting up and running jobs as skills develop.
