Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) position is onsite in Elyria, OH, and pays $15–$18 per hour. BLISSFUL LIVING HOME CARE LLC provides person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion. The DSP provides direct care in residential and community settings, helping individuals with daily living, personal care, health and safety, community participation, and individualized goals. The role supports quality of life and greater independence by following service plans, documenting care, and coordinating with families and care teams.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and meal preparation
• support independent living skills
• administer or assist with medications under agency policies and regulations
• monitor and document health, behavior, and progress
• complete daily notes, medication records, and incident reports
• facilitate community activities
• maintain a safe and clean environment
• follow individual service and behavior support plans
• communicate with supervisors, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
• transport individuals as required
• respond to emergencies.
