Machinist I – Weekend Shift

The Machinist I – Weekend Shift role is onsite in Duncan, SC. Pay is $22.00–$26.00 per hour. The role supports Wabtec’s manufacturing of equipment and systems for freight and transit rail. The machinist sets up and operates multiple CNC machine tools in a low-volume, high-mix job shop. The work contributes to accurate production by following engineering specifications, inspecting parts, maintaining process data, and supporting continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate multiple CNC machine tools
• interpret and edit CNC programs
• use FANUC controls and Renishaw probing
• operate a coordinate measuring machine
• inspect products against engineering blueprints
• complete first article inspections
• enter and analyze statistical process control data
• perform equipment inspections and 5S activities
• support continuous improvement.
