What you'll do

• Evaluate group insurance risk using financial condition, employee-group characteristics, participation, industry, and claims experience
• determine benefits and rates
• ensure appropriate pricing and funding methods
• coordinate underwriting for proposals, new cases, renewals, and amendments
• assess whether benefit-plan designs and funding methods can be administered
• maintain relationships with field personnel and obtain information for decisions
• explain, document, and communicate underwriting decisions
• review cases above the underwriter’s review level
• analyze client profitability, expenses, and product-line performance
• underwrite Medical Stop Loss business across group sizes and deductibles.
