The Early Learning Teacher, Infant/Toddler Class — Edgemoor role is onsite in Bethesda, Maryland. Pay is $23–$26 per hour. Wonders Early Learning + Extended Day provides nonprofit childcare and early-learning programs for working families in the DC metropolitan region. The teacher helps create a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate classroom and works with the teaching team and families to support children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.

What you'll do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate programming with the team
• communicate with the Lead Teacher, families, and staff
• share teaching responsibilities
• help orient new team members
• maintain safe, clean, engaging program spaces
• plan and participate in family events
• maintain classroom records
• attend required training
• maintain pediatric first aid and CPR certification
• report illness, abuse, and safety hazards.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree in Early Childhood Education, a 90-hour preschool course if the degree is not in ECE, or a CDA credential; at least one year of classroom experience is required. Schedule is 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
