Associate Attorney — Personal Injury Protection and Coverage Litigation

The Associate Attorney role follows a hybrid schedule in Southfield, MI, with four onsite days and one remote day each week. Starting salary is $100,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience. The attorney joins CURE Auto Insurance’s in-house legal team supporting Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and coverage litigation. The attorney represents CURE in litigation and arbitration matters from inception through resolution, working with Claims to develop case strategy and resolve claims promptly. The role also handles pleadings, discovery, hearings, depositions, motions, appeals, and settlement negotiations under the guidance of senior counsel.

What you'll do

• Manage PIP and coverage litigation cases in Forthright and Superior Court
• evaluate assigned cases
• collaborate with Claims on litigation objectives and claim resolution
• prepare arbitration demands, pleadings, discovery, submissions, and Rule 35 dismissal applications
• conduct examinations under oath and depositions
• attend arbitrations and hearings
• draft and argue motions and appeals
• negotiate settlement agreements.
