What you'll do

• Ensure adequate nursing staffing
• monitor attendance and address discipline as needed
• identify staffing changes and communicate with the Director of Nursing
• develop shift assignments and monitor performance
• ensure staff follow policies and procedures
• evaluate staff and identify improvement opportunities
• respond to resident, family, and staff concerns
• participate in quality improvement
• follow up on pharmacy and dietary recommendations
• assist with physician order changes and review telephone orders
• communicate with the Director of Nursing or designee.
