Receiving Inspector — First Shift

Job overview

The Receiving Inspector role is onsite in Auburn Hills, MI, with pay of $16 per hour; the posting notes pay can vary based on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM. The inspector supports a long-term client of Nesco Resource. The role checks incoming, in-process, and outgoing products and helps control nonconforming material. Accurate inspections, records, and coordination with operators support product quality, safe work, and the company’s quality and environmental policies.

What you'll do

• Audit incoming, in-process, and outgoing products
• direct and assist with sorting and rework
• document nonconforming materials
• qualify and label suspect materials
• select and test products for dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics
• perform and record inspections
• explain gauges and acceptance standards to operators
• maintain records
• and enter lot status into the computer.
