What you'll do

• Prepare surgical patients
• place IV catheters and perform pre-anesthetic tasks
• induce and monitor anesthesia under veterinary direction
• assist surgeons and maintain the sterile field
• monitor recovery and provide ordered treatments
• prepare discharge instructions
• support dental procedures
• sterilize instruments
• maintain operating-room supplies and equipment logs
• complete records
• and train or mentor assistants and technicians.
