The role sets up and operates punch presses to manufacture parts to blueprint specifications, while checking dimensions and quality throughout production. It contributes to production continuity and quality through equipment setup, part inspection, and daily preventive-maintenance records.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate punch presses and feed material into dies
• inspect material and measure dimensions with specified tools
• shear material according to drawings or instructions
• produce parts to required dimensions and quantities
• inspect first and last pieces and run parts with SPC checks
• tumble parts and remove burrs
• spot-weld parts when necessary
• obtain QA approval
• and maintain a daily preventive-maintenance log.
