Food Service Worker

The role supports Rescue Mission of Trenton’s shelter and recovery programs by helping provide meals that offer nourishment, comfort, and dignity. The worker assists with meal preparation and service while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and organized kitchen operations. The role also supports kitchen staff and volunteers during busy meal periods and helps ensure food is stored and served properly.

What you'll do

• Assist with food preparation and meal service
• set up, organize, and stock food-service areas
• serve meals with proper portions
• clean kitchen, dining, and work areas
• follow food-safety, sanitation, and temperature-control guidelines
• label, store, and rotate food
• wash dishes and equipment
• receive and store deliveries
• support kitchen staff and volunteers.
