• communicate commodity specifications and compliance, quality, and schedule requirements
• request and evaluate quotes
• negotiate supplier value and terms
• generate compliant purchase orders
• maintain purchasing and shipping documentation
• apply total cost of acquisition principles
• adjust purchase schedules to support demand and production continuity
• support bids and proposals
• develop supplier relationships and agreements
• pursue cost reductions
• identify and escalate risks
• monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions.
