The Head Start Preschool Teacher — School Year role is onsite in Nashua, NH. Pay is $22.05–$26.94 per hour. Community Action Partnership Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties’ Head Start program provides early childhood education and family support. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing learning environment, plans daily experiences that support children’s development, and works with families as partners in children’s learning.

What you'll do

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy learning environment
• build trusting relationships with children and families
• encourage family involvement and provide opportunities to participate in curriculum outside the classroom
• plan and implement daily learning experiences
• complete developmental and social-emotional screenings within 45 days and continue observation and assessment
• plan teacher- and child-initiated activities for individual needs and interests.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s or associate degree in early childhood education, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with 18 early childhood education credits, including a three-credit child growth and development course.
