Production Painter

Job overview

The Production Painter role is onsite in Romulus, NY, with compensation of $19–$23 per hour. Seneca Dairy Systems manufactures agricultural, dairy, industrial, and commercial equipment, and the painter supports its production and finishing operations. The role prepares surfaces, mixes and applies coatings, and inspects finished products to meet quality and safety standards. It also maintains painting equipment and supplies and may assist other production departments as workload requires.

What you'll do

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking
• mix paints, primers, hardeners, and coatings to specifications
• apply coatings with spray guns, pressure pots, brushes, and rollers
• paint equipment and products
• ensure coating thickness, coverage, color consistency, and finish quality
• perform touch-ups and repairs
• apply decals and labels when required
• inspect products before shipment
• maintain paint booth equipment and tools
• monitor paint inventory
• follow safety and environmental rules
• keep the work area organized
• assist other production departments as workload demands.
