Project Manager / Estimator — Disaster Restoration

The Project Manager / Estimator works onsite in Chicago, IL, with in-person site inspections required; the position is not remote. Pay is $70,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience, with eligibility for an annual uncapped bonus. ServiceMaster DSI provides disaster restoration services in Chicago and surrounding areas, helping people affected by fire, water, mold, and natural disasters. The role estimates and oversees residential and commercial restoration projects from start to finish, coordinating contractors and an assigned construction superintendent. It contributes to successful project delivery by managing schedules, budgets, client relationships, quality, and close-out while identifying risks and potential new work.

What you'll do

• Support project quality planning and control
• maintain client and contact relationships
• establish project objectives and performance standards
• monitor construction through the on-site superintendent to keep work on schedule and budget
• evaluate progress and team performance
• manage contract financial reporting
• identify potential legal issues
• oversee project close-out
• represent the company in meetings
• provide technical support
• identify new work opportunities
• lead continuous-improvement teams
• develop client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships
• proactively solve problems to minimize risk.
