What you'll do

• Maintain, repair, and occasionally install commercial kitchen equipment, including refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, ovens, dishwashers, and steamers
• identify potential equipment issues
• diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration malfunctions
• interpret blueprints and schematics
• inspect and service cafeteria and nutrition equipment
• follow safety rules
• maintain preventive maintenance
• follow purchasing guidelines
• enter newly purchased tools and equipment into inventory
• keep the work area orderly
• respond to on-call assignments for urgent matters outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends.
