The role also supports special meals for events and celebrations and helps manage portions, leftovers, and food costs.

What you'll do

• Maintain timely meal service and smooth kitchen operations
• review menus and event calendars for ingredients and supplies
• prepare meals consistent with residents’ dietary needs
• follow standardized recipes and make substitutions only when authorized
• serve proper portions
• assist with special event meals
• manage portions and leftovers
• follow sanitation, food safety, storage, recordkeeping, and chemical-handling regulations
• operate kitchen equipment safely
• maintain clean, organized cooler and freezer spaces
• complete daily cleaning assignments.

Why this role
