The Staff Accountant I role is onsite in Coos Bay, OR. Compensation is $3,942–$4,610 per month. Coos Health & Wellness’s Finance and Administration Services team supports the department’s fiscal operations and reporting. The accountant processes payables, revenue deposits, payroll and leave records, and month-end entries while helping maintain accurate financial controls and timely reports. The role also guides staff on routine finance procedures and keeps supporting documentation current.

What you'll do

• Prepare accounts payable, reimbursement, and revenue deposit documents
• maintain accounting controls for contracts and grants
• reconcile and audit payroll and leave records
• coordinate with County Finance and Human Resources
• prepare recurring and payroll journal entries and month-end close tasks
• assist with state, federal, and local financial reports and billing submissions
• guide staff on finance forms and procedures
• maintain finance procedures and documentation.
