Referral Coordinator

What you'll do

• Coordinate and process specialty referrals
• verify patient demographics, insurance information, and eligibility
• obtain and process authorizations
• schedule specialist appointments, testing, and transportation when needed
• communicate referral status and next steps to patients
• follow up on recommended services
• enter referral and care information into appropriate systems
• monitor outstanding referral reports
• maintain accurate documentation and protect patient confidentiality under HIPAA.
