The Software Engineer, Design Systems role is onsite in North Chicago, IL; compensation is not specified. This engineer builds and maintains developer-facing components, tooling, and AI-assisted workflows so product teams can deliver consistent Unity-compliant interfaces. The role also supports the developer community through requirements gathering, quality assurance, documentation, and technical guidance.

What you'll do

• Build, test, and maintain accessible React/TypeScript components, design tokens, theming, and Storybook documentation
• advance AI-assisted and agentic developer workflows, including Claude Code skills and MCP integrations
• develop Python and Node.js services, automation, and build/release/validation tooling
• maintain automated tests and perform accessibility and cross-browser QA
• support the Unity developer community through outreach, demos, office hours, and presentations
• gather requirements, document work, and communicate progress and issues
• partner with design, brand, accessibility, and BTS stakeholders.
