Project Responsible Engineer — Transit Engineering

The Project Responsible Engineer role is onsite in Duncan, South Carolina, with occasional travel to customer or project sites. Compensation is $68,900–$98,200 per year. The role helps ensure systems meet customer, company, and safety requirements through technical planning, risk management, verification, validation, and homologation.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary engineering contact for customers
• coordinate engineering activities across product teams
• manage system and subsystem requirements and traceability
• drive technical quality from development through serial production
• plan, execute, and document verification and validation
• ensure performance meets customer contracts, Wabtec standards, and safety requirements
• lead brake system homologation
• identify and mitigate technical risks
• represent engineering on the Project Core Team
• develop and manage the project engineering plan.
