The Pharmacist-in-Charge role is onsite in Kentwood, LA, with compensation of $108,000–$125,000 per year. The position reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer and oversees pharmacy operations for Southeast Community Health Systems. The pharmacist-in-charge ensures prescriptions and consultations are delivered appropriately while supervising pharmacy staff and maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. The role is accountable for pharmacy operations, staff development, prescription quality, inventory, and a consistent customer and patient experience.

What you'll do

• Manage and supervise pharmacists, technicians, clerks, and interns
• oversee pharmacy operations, security, and safe work habits
• keep licenses and records current
• maintain accountability for pharmacy decisions and compliance
• recruit, train, schedule, and develop team members
• manage payroll budgets
• direct pharmacy procedures and activities
• ensure prescriptions are filled and audited according to laws and policies
• consult with customers and physicians
• handle complaints and manage wait times
• support staff education
• manage medication and medical supply inventories.
