The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Float (Full-Time) is an onsite role based in Washington, DC. Compensation is not specified for this position, which supports the Medical-Surgical Rehabilitation Department at George Washington University Hospital, a 385-bed Level 1 Trauma Center. This role exists to assist in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans and conduct therapeutic activities under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA works in close coordination with the interdisciplinary team to enhance patients’ functional recovery.

What you'll do

• Assist in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans.
• Conduct therapeutic activities according to the Occupational Therapist’s guidance.
• Monitor patient response and modify treatment plans.
• Work in close coordination with nurses, physicians, and other rehab professionals.
• Offer guidance and education to patients and caregivers.
