Patient Care Technician

The Patient Care Technician works onsite in Rochester, NY; compensation is not specified. The role supports patient care and recovery operations at Rochester Ambulatory Surgery Center, including the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and Recovery Lounge. The technician assists patients with care and discharge, performs EKGs as needed, and helps keep recovery areas supplied, clean, and ready for use. The role also supports facility operations through laundry, inventory, nourishment supplies, specimen transport, and other duties assigned by clinical leadership.

What you'll do

• Assist with patient care, including EKGs as needed
• assist patients with activities of daily living and discharge
• transport specimens to the Frozen Section lab
• clean and remake beds and transfer them to the Holding Area
• maintain stock in the PACU and Recovery Lounge
• conduct inventory as directed
• clean assigned areas
• maintain nourishment supplies
• distribute freight
• perform other duties assigned by the Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager.
