Manual Boring Mill Machinist

The Manual Boring Mill Machinist works onsite in Cleveland, OH. Pay is $28–$35 per hour. FDC Machine Repair rebuilds and repairs metal-forming equipment for customers in the metal-forming industry. The machinist operates manual machining equipment to produce accurate work from blueprints or job orders and to meet job requirements. The role checks finished work, adjusts equipment when needed, and follows safe working practices.

What you'll do

• Read blueprints or job orders and adjust equipment using precision tools
• check finished products for accuracy and make machine adjustments as needed
• perform OD and ID machining on steel and bronze
• work with small and larger materials
• monitor machine speeds, feed, material rotation, and depth cuts
• adjust equipment for out-of-tolerance conditions and report malfunctions to supervisors
• adapt to changing priorities
• follow safe working practices.
