Planning and Configuration Control Manager

The Planning and Configuration Control Manager role is onsite in Boulder, CO, with a base salary range of $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus an annual bonus and equity. Atom Computing builds quantum computers using arrays of optically trapped neutral atoms to advance computational capabilities. This manager establishes and leads planning, configuration control, and manufacturing data practices for quantum-computer builds. By aligning schedules, materials, engineering changes, and controlled build records, the role supports reliable integration and traceability across prototype and repeat builds.

What you'll do

• Lead build planning, configuration control, and manufacturing data management
• maintain resource-loaded plans for material readiness, subsystem builds, system integration and test, and Quantum Engineering verification
• coordinate personnel, instruments, benches, and system rooms
• identify schedule conflicts and develop recovery plans
• translate milestones into material need dates, work-package releases, inspection gates, and handoffs
• control bills of materials, work instructions, test procedures, revisions, and approved changes
• maintain traceability for hardware, firmware/software versions, and build/test evidence
• establish repository and approval workflows
• align planning, configuration, and NetSuite records
• coordinate dependencies with the PMO Manufacturing TPM.
