What you'll do

• Answer phones and route calls
• schedule appointments using provider scheduling guidelines
• gather patient information and create patient cases
• identify urgent or emergent calls and transfer them to a nurse when appropriate
• compose messages for providers and staff
• process new-patient appointments and self-referral requests
• cancel and reschedule appointments
• answer basic insurance and financial questions and refer complex questions to billers
• coordinate with patient advisory and nursing staff.
