What you'll do

• Follow food handling and storage guidelines
• test and record food and storage temperatures and report negative results
• discard expired or contaminated food
• follow handwashing, glove, hair-restraint, infection-control, and protective-wear procedures
• prepare food using standardized recipes and special-diet requirements
• support timely meal production and portion control
• serve meals according to facility methods
• clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas
• set up and clean serving lines and dining rooms
• store, chill, and reheat leftovers
• complete assigned kitchen closing duties.
