X-Ray Technologist

Job overview

The X-Ray Technologist works onsite in Arlington, MA. Pay is $30–$40 per hour. The role supports American Family Care’s urgent and primary care services, which include in-house X-ray capability. The technologist performs radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures to help physicians diagnose injuries and disease. The role also supports patient care and clinic operations through image quality checks, equipment upkeep, records, and medical reception or assisting duties when needed.

What you'll do

• Greet patients and explain procedures
• position patients for imaging
• use ALARA radiation protection techniques
• process and review images for identification and quality
• operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment
• assist with prescribed treatments as needed
• maintain equipment and arrange repairs
• complete records and reports
• serve as receptionist or medical assistant when needed.
