What you'll do

• Splice loose-tube and ribbon fiber-optic cables
• construct splice cases, including grounding, bonding, isolation, slack storage, and sealing
• maintain splicing records, schematics, and diagrams
• follow industry standards and safety procedures
• maintain control of activities at assigned work sites
• support project timelines and provide feedback
• troubleshoot fiber issues and use fusion splicing and test equipment, including an OTDR.
