Special Education Paraprofessional – Preschool

Job overview

The Special Education Paraprofessional role is onsite in Laramie, WY, with compensation of $12–$13 per hour. The position supports young learners in a preschool classroom at Developmental Preschool & Day Care Center. The role helps teachers deliver classroom activities and provides individual or small-group assistance so children can participate in instruction, play, meals, transitions, and outdoor activities. It also supports a safe, inclusive classroom and helps staff monitor and communicate children’s needs and progress.

What you'll do

• Support the lead teacher with daily activities and lesson plans
• assist designated children during instruction, play, meals, transitions, and outdoor activities
• maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom
• provide one-on-one or small-group support
• encourage positive behavior and age-appropriate independence
• prepare and organize classroom materials
• observe and report student needs, progress, and concerns.
