Job overview

The Direct Service Rehabilitation Professional – Deaf Program role is onsite in Edgewater, MD, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. Pay is $18 per hour. Arundel Lodge supports people affected by behavioral health disorders in pursuing meaningful lives in their communities.

What you'll do

• Use recovery-oriented practices in interactions with members
• prompt residents to start their day and assist with daily activities
• monitor medication and facilitate transportation
• assist with activities of daily living, appointments, cleaning, and cooking
• and support individuals in recovery from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use. Maintain professional communication in ASL and complete required training and documentation.

Why this role

Fluency in American Sign Language is required for the Deaf Program. A high school diploma or GED and at least one year of mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, are required.
