Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job overview

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician role is an onsite position based in Columbus, OH, with a stated pay range of $30–$40 per hour. BME provides HVAC/R and mechanical services across Kentucky and surrounding areas and describes its focus as delivering quality solutions while supporting team members’ expertise, safety, and growth. The technician diagnoses, maintains, and repairs commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems at customer locations. The role also performs preventive maintenance and warranty work, documents service, communicates recommendations to customers, and may train apprentices and junior technicians.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, DX equipment, and fan systems
• perform routine service, maintenance, warranty work, and preventive inspections
• recommend repairs or upgrades
• document work and complete service reports
• travel to customer locations for onsite service
• communicate service recommendations
• assist with parts ordering
• and train apprentices and junior technicians.
