The Medication Technician — Part Time, Evening Shift role is an onsite position in Seattle, WA, paying $24.65–$27.82 per hour based on union scale, with a $1 evening-shift differential and a $1.50 weekend-shift differential. The available evening schedule is 2:45 p.m.–11:15 p.m. on a three-week rotating schedule. The role supports Horizon House’s Assisted Living team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse Delegator, the technician manages and administers medications and treatments, documents administration and resident responses, and communicates changes in condition to nursing staff. The role supports resident health and well-being through accurate medication systems, safe practices, and coordination with the care team.
What you'll do
- Administer medications and treatments according to orders and procedures
- document administration, effectiveness, and side effects
- enter new or changed orders into the electronic health record MAR within scope
- secure and account for medications
- report changes in resident condition
- communicate with care-team members and families
- order medications
- maintain medication rooms and carts
- follow infection-control and emergency procedures
- perform CNA duties as assigned.
