Family School Liaison

Job overview

The Family School Liaison role is onsite in Peoria, IL, and pays $19.02 per hour. FamilyCore works with schools, the court system, and social service agencies to connect families with counseling, intervention, prevention education, and other support services. The liaison delivers individual and group social and emotional learning services to referred at-risk students in local public schools. Through assessments, goal development, family and school collaboration, and referrals to community resources, the role supports students’ social-emotional skills and helps strengthen family and community connections.

What you'll do

• Develop, coordinate, and implement individual and group social and emotional learning services
• collect, enter, and report client data
• perform strengths-based assessments and monitor goals
• obtain parental permission
• build working relationships with parents and school personnel
• refer students and parents to community resources
• conduct home visits
• provide safe transportation
• participate in school-based meetings
• maintain confidential information and follow safety protocols.
