The Assistant Teacher — Daycare & Preschool role is onsite in Pewaukee, WI, with a full-time Monday–Friday schedule and pay of $16–$19 per hour based on experience and credentials. The role supports The Learning Experience’s early childhood education team. The assistant teacher helps create safe, engaging classrooms where children learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships, while supporting lead teachers and daily classroom routines.

What you'll do

• Support lead teachers with classroom routines and learning activities
• engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
• assist with meals, diapering or toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
• supervise and guide children
• prepare materials
• maintain a clean, safe classroom
• build relationships with children and families
• collaborate with teachers and center leadership
• provide classroom and ratio coverage as needed
• follow Wisconsin childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
