The Dietary Cook role is onsite in Newark, NJ. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour. The cook prepares and provides food services for residents at Forest Hill Center for Rehabilitation and Healing, following applicable requirements and dietary recommendations. The role helps meet residents’ meal needs by preparing and serving food safely, maintaining sanitation and portion standards, and coordinating production with meal service times. It also supports the dietary department through supply planning and scheduled cleaning.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve meals for residents and staff in accordance with food-safety regulations and physician or nutritionist dietary recommendations
• maintain food preparation, sanitation, storage, and portion-control standards
• determine food and supply needs for daily menus
• coordinate production with meal service hours
• assist with scheduled cleaning.
