What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic MRI exams
• verify patient identity and orders
• prepare patients
• follow department protocols and review images for quality
• follow MRI safety guidelines
• complete studies within acceptable time limits
• instruct students and other MRI technologists
• educate patients and address concerns
• follow infection control and sterile techniques
• operate imaging equipment and information systems
• maintain accurate records
• follow medical necessity, coding, charging, consent, quality-control, and equipment-failure reporting protocols.
