Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, at Valley Palms Care Center, a 99-bed skilled nursing facility located in North Hollywood. Pay is $18–$19 per hour. The aide supports resident food service in accordance with facility standards and dietary direction. The role helps prepare and serve meals that meet residents’ dietary needs, maintains food safety and sanitation, and keeps kitchen and dining-service areas clean and organized. The aide also communicates relevant resident information to a charge nurse when needed.

What you'll do

• Assist dietary management and cooks
• help prepare meals according to residents’ dietary needs
• serve meals and deliver trays and food carts
• follow portion controls and food-safety guidelines
• clean worktables and equipment
• sweep and mop floors
• wash and store dishes and utensils
• remove garbage and food waste
• obtain supplies for upcoming meals
• follow safety and facility policies
• and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
