The schedule includes varied day and night blocks: Sunday night 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m., Thursday day 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m., and Saturday night 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m., alternating with Monday day 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m., Wednesday night 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m., and Thursday night 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m. Pay is $45.00 per hour plus $5.42 per hour in health and welfare. Matrix Providers supplies health care services to military service members and their families. The nurse provides inpatient psychiatric care, assesses and responds to complex clinical situations, and helps maintain a safe therapeutic environment. The role also supports discharge planning, patient activities, and communication with military command within applicable policy and privacy guidelines.

What you'll do

• Identify and resolve clinical problems
• provide nursing care for patients with complex psychiatric conditions, including substance abuse
• use milieu therapy, group dynamics, psychotropic medication knowledge, and crisis intervention
• participate in discharge planning
• assess and intervene in suicidal, homicidal, assaultive, or elopement situations
• obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and take indicated action
• oversee or escort patients during activities outside the clinic as required
• communicate outpatient needs and discharge plans with military command under policy and HIPAA guidelines.
