The Assistant Teacher — Early Childhood role is onsite in Erie, CO, with compensation of $18.50–$20 per hour. The position supports the Primrose School of Erie at Vista Ridge, which provides educational child care for children ages 6 weeks to 8 years. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. The role exists to support children’s daily care, supervision, and learning through classroom routines and the school’s curriculum. The assistant teacher helps implement lesson plans, observe developmental needs, maintain a welcoming classroom, and coordinate meals, snacks, naps, and bathroom activities while following child health and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Supervise children and support daily classroom functions
• assess developmental needs on an ongoing basis
• plan with the Director and implement approved lesson plans and schedules using Primrose curriculum materials
• participate in parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations
• maintain an attractive classroom and current bulletin boards
• provide encouragement and consistent behavioral expectations
• perform classroom, common-area, and playground housekeeping
• assist with snacks, meals, nap time, and bathroom activities
• attend required meetings, workshops, and school functions
• follow applicable health, safety, and child-care regulations.
