What you'll do

• Set up and operate machine tools for turning, milling, drilling, grinding and boring
• interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• select cutting tools, fixtures and materials
• inspect parts with precision measuring instruments
• troubleshoot machine, tooling or workpiece issues and make adjustments or repairs
• perform routine machine maintenance
• follow safety procedures and maintain machining and inspection records.
