Auto Body Technician

The Auto Body Technician role is an onsite position based in Portage, WI, with compensation ranging from $70,000 to $125,000 per year based on experience. This role supports the collision and glass services team at Gerber Collision & Glass, contributing to the company's mission of providing elite infrastructure and customer excellence. The primary purpose of this role is to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition through meticulous assessment, disassembly, repair, and reassembly. The technician works in alignment with team members to achieve repair facility KPIs while serving as a dedicated brand ambassador.

What you'll do

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan
• plan repair work and prepare cost estimates
• use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers
• hammer out dents and apply filler resins
• realign car chassis and frames
• remove and replace damaged sections and parts
• weld and attach parts
• prepare and repaint vehicles
• inspect vehicles after repair.
