What you'll do

• Patrol the museum campus and observe, report, and document incidents
• provide security for galleries, public spaces, offices, storage areas, and facilities
• regulate visitor and vehicle traffic
• support special events
• welcome visitors and communicate museum rules
• respond to calls, alarms, emergencies, and critical incidents
• support investigations and file reports
• act as a first responder for fire and life-safety incidents and provide first aid, CPR, or AED support
• monitor communications and surveillance systems when assigned
• maintain equipment and uniforms.

Why this role

Generally 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; overtime, varying shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required. Requires a high school diploma and at least one year of protective, safety, or security experience; an associate degree is preferred. Required certifications and training include CIPS within 90 days and First Aid/CPR/AED, along with specified TSA training and assessment.
