The Psychiatrist role is onsite in Indio, CA; compensation is $301,265–$414,575 per year. Central City Community Health Center provides health and human services to medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner. The psychiatrist evaluates and treats mental illnesses, develops treatment plans, and coordinates care with patients, families, and other professionals. The role also supports community mental health services and maintains clinical documentation and reports.

What you'll do

• Conduct initial evaluations and take medical histories
• diagnose psychiatric conditions
• use psychotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy
• explain treatment plans and provide support
• prescribe medication conservatively for verifiable conditions
• collaborate with physicians and other professionals
• prepare case reports and summaries
• complete billing and medical records
• serve on committees supporting community mental health services.

Why this role
