Maintenance Technician, Multifamily Residential

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Alexandria, VA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Pay is $22–$26 per hour, depending on experience. The technician supports a multifamily residential community and its property management team. The role prepares apartments for resident move-ins and maintains the property through repairs and preventive maintenance. By completing work orders, addressing appliance and building-system issues, and communicating with residents, vendors, and property management, the technician helps keep units safe, functional, and ready on schedule.

What you'll do

• Complete apartment turns and prepare units for move-ins
• perform general and preventive maintenance
• troubleshoot and repair appliances
• complete plumbing and basic electrical repairs
• assist with HVAC maintenance and minor repairs
• complete work orders
• ensure vacant units meet quality standards and move-in deadlines
• maintain a clean and safe work environment
• communicate with property management, residents, and vendors.
