Compensation is $50,000,000–$100,000,000 per year. Director of Operations is an onsite role based in San Diego, CA, with travel averaging 40%–60% and up to 60%. AMSURG operates a nationwide network of ambulatory surgery centers and partners with physicians and health systems to deliver patient care. The director oversees operations and governance across assigned surgery centers, supporting growth, financial performance, patient experience, and operational effectiveness. The role works with center administrators, physician partners, and corporate teams to execute strategy and maintain strong center performance.

What you'll do

• Execute center strategy and identify growth opportunities
• oversee ASC governance and board processes
• manage day-to-day operational initiatives
• mentor center administrators
• coordinate with clinical and revenue cycle teams
• manage partner relationships
• oversee budgets, financial performance, and revenue cycle benchmarks
• support staffing, compliance, quality, risk management, and patient experience
• travel to assigned centers as business needs require.
