Maintenance Technician — Third Shift

The Maintenance Technician — Third Shift role is onsite in Cambridge, OH, working Monday through Friday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Compensation is $30–$38 per hour, with a shift differential and bonus potential. The technician supports Quanex’s manufacturing operations and equipment reliability. The role maintains equipment and contributes to continuous improvement so production equipment operates robustly. The technician diagnoses failures, completes repairs, supports equipment upgrades, and coordinates with maintenance personnel and line workers to develop sustainable solutions.

What you'll do

• Perform general equipment maintenance
• assist with new equipment implementation and improvements
• diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V
• use a digital voltmeter
• coordinate equipment updates and operational issues with other maintenance personnel and team members
• apply knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and safety controllers to support plant automation
• attend outside training and seminars.
