Senior Automation Reliability Technician

Job overview

The Senior Automation Reliability Technician role is onsite in Kansas City, KS, with compensation of $30–$38 per hour. The technician supports material handling and packaging systems through diagnostics, maintenance, and reliability improvements. The role owns the health and performance of designated automated systems, resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues to reduce downtime and improve throughput. It also supports equipment upgrades and projects while coaching maintenance technicians and reinforcing safe work practices.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot conveyors, sortation equipment, ASRS, and packaging lines
• diagnose PLC platforms, variable frequency drives, servo motion, and industrial networks
• lead root-cause analysis and reliability improvements
• design and execute preventive and predictive maintenance
• interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
• coordinate with OEMs and vendors on escalated issues and upgrades
• document work and recommendations in CMMS
• support equipment trials, upgrades, and capital projects through commissioning
• coach and mentor Maintenance Technicians I and II.
